April was a big month for the Fairfield Harbour Satellite Auxiliary of CarolinaEast Medical Center. In the past the hospital has held a Volunteer Appreciation luncheon in April to honor the volunteers who contribute so much to the effectiveness of patient care. This year, to celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week, three hospital coordinators came to the Harbour and created a special meeting for us. Assistant of Volunteer Services Tiffany Caraway, Volunteer Services Manager Shaellen Thompson, and Director of Public and Patient Relations Leslie Pittman came laden with refreshments, gifts, and annual awards to present to our members who have given so much all year long.
Each year CarolinaEast presents three elite awards to volunteers who are nominated by hospital staff. Our Auxiliary is extremely proud of our own chairperson, Janell Ringuette, who received one of the three Volunteer of the Year awards given to outstanding hospital volunteers. Janell received the highly esteemed “We Serve” Award. Congratulations, Janell.
